No less fascinating than the sculpture itself is the path leading to it, from blending into the heart of the desert to gazing into the abyss. Tension and levitation emerge from the connection of elements. With every step forward, a sense of presence and heaviness intensifies, and from these emotions, harmony is revealed. The deeper we go, we become absorbed within the creation, unconsciously drawn to the generator—light, focusing on it, disconnecting from the heaviness and boundaries.
**Tumarkin** develops a working method with logic, a method that mediates between desire and goals. He transforms inability into a technique charged with interpretation, emotions, desires, thoughts. His persistence subdues the sculpture, converting it into painting, and the painting becomes traces of pressure on the solid-liquid system. Tumarkin identifies systems and understands the logic of each one, allowing him to create a system that serves his needs. He exposes us to the art of contrasts, art with ironic depth, a depth that does not confine itself within boundaries. He lets us view art differently—waste can also be art; there are no limits to creating art; art is anything. Tumarkin transforms waste, objects, and remnants into art that holds a story.
Harmony, in our eyes, is a successful coordination. We consider the area we chose as a system, containing urban entities that are extreme in several senses and layers. We try to find coordination and systematic order that will organically connect the urban entities while preserving their diversity. We do not intend to eliminate the existence of the urban entities but rather to process them to achieve the desired balance and coordination. Balance does not mean uniformity.
After analyzing the space and understanding where and how we intervene, we created a network that connects significant urban entities and connecting streets. The network intersects with main streets that combine commerce and public functions. At these points, a unique urban occurrence is created, drawing us into the neighborhoods' interior. The network and the red streets are considered treatment areas, and the impact is expressed through creating harmony and the "rebalance" we strive to achieve through analyzing the textures and understanding what is missing in each texture in order to revitalize the city and enhance activities during the day and night.
