Final project

The economic foundation of Arab villages in the sahl el batouf has traditionally been rooted in agriculture and small farms. However, modern processes of industrialization and development in these areas call for a redefinition of agricultural systems through a sustainable and resilient approach. This project focuses on the cultural dimension of agriculture in Galilean villages, examining the traditions and agricultural ‘ econimc and ecological practices in the village of Sahl al-Batuf, with an emphasis on human-animal relations and the close connection between the community and the agricultural landscape. On a regional level, the project proposes a multi-functional modol that combines agricultural system that integrates various agricultural programs and users, fostering connections between the local communities and promoting ecological, educational, and economic development based on preserving local traditions. This initiative is expected to strengthen the standing of Arab villages in two ways: first, as an ecological space producing biogas and employment for local residents; and second, as an educational site for preserving and teaching Galilean agricultural heritage.
The architectural principles of the project are based on developing an integrated system of textures that creates a clear hierarchy between different areas, while maintaining a holistic approach to humans, agriculture, and the environment. The integration of ecology, education, and economy is expressed through functional and architectural modules that connect the needs of the community, animals, and the environment, creating a homogeneous and sustainable system.
